'Matrix' Silver Threads Tapestry
The unique technique of the pattern is achieved through the density of dots.
The artist refers to the ideas of the Impressionists, when paintings were painted with short strokes of oil colors, and the whole work was perceived from a distance, as an animated image. Here the master, follows this idea, reproducing this idea, using the volumetric technique of black silk on a specially created silver pearlescent fabric as a background for hand embroidery.
Part of the work is done with silver metallic threads. Part of the black dots are embellished with black crystals (Black Swarovski Diamond), making the surface shimmer with black diamonds and creating an additional play of colors.
The theory of the Matrix is embodied in the artist's reinterpretation of the image. The shaky and barely perceptible matrix world is scattered into a multitude of images, forcing the viewer to find himself as if in different layers of the subtle matrix world.
